Week 13 - Game over, man. Game over.

Presentation week! This week we got to share our progress journey and the final concept. We really honed in on the improvements that were suggested before the semester break and decided to work on those to produce a smooth presentation that clearly outlined our idea. We actually found ourselves embodying the words of Donald A. Norman, “We must design for the way people behave, not for how we would wish them to behave.” (2011) Which was a little sad considering our concept was eliminating discrimination… We had created a product to eliminate the bad attributes of human bias, to give everyone an equal chance of success. Our presentation was met with compliments on how well we had improved. Teams utilise design thinking to understand people, question assumptions, reframe challenges, and develop and test novel solutions. It is especially helpful for tackling challenges that are ill-defined or unknown, as it involves five phases: empathise, define, ideate, prototype, and test (TED talk, 2009).
